Bizzarro è il risultato di una sperimentazione musicale personale che fonde suoni elettronici, strumenti acustici e voce. L'EP fonda le sue radici nella cultura musicale africana e di derivazione africana, da qui la presenza di djembe, dundun, congas, campane e shekere. La prima traccia deve il suo nome a un'onomatopea usata per suonare il tamburo; l'intrusione vocale da il nome alla seconda traccia, mentre Loving sunset è caratterizzata da un'atmosfera chill out/ambient creata sui suoni armonici del basso.

Bizzarro is the result of a personal musical experimentation that fuses electronic sounds, acoustic instruments and voice. The EP has its roots in African and African-derived musical culture, hence the presence of djembe, dunduns, congas, bells and shekere. The first track owes its name to an onomatopoeia used to play the drum; the vocal intrusion gives the name to the second track, while Loving sunset is characterised by a chill out / ambient atmosphere created on the harmonic sounds of the bass.


Alessandro Bizzarro - Bio

Si appassiona alla musica sin da bambino frequentando scuole ad indirizzo musicale, fino a diplomarsi in contrabbasso presso il Conservatorio di Vicenza, dove si avvicina per la prima volta alla musica elettronica. Parallelamente inizia lo studio delle percussioni etniche con maestri africani, afrocubani e brasiliani, partecipando a rassegne concertistiche, festival e masterclass con musicisti di fama internazionale.
Negli anni successivi approfondisce lo studio a Vienna e Milano, esibendosi come contrabbassista in importanti teatri e sale da concerto in Europa, America e Paesi Arabi; il suo interesse musicale a 360° lo porta anche a collaborazioni in ambito jazz, pop, teatrale e a registrazioni per diverse etichette discografiche.
Attualmente affianca alla sperimentazione elettronica l'attività didattica e concertistica.
Cruciale è l'incontro a Ibiza, nell'estate del 2018, con il DJ e Producer Chris Coco, che ha portato alla realizzazione dell'EP Bizzarro per l'etichetta Disappear, fusione delle varie influenze musicali assimilate negli anni.


Alessandro became passionate about music as a child, attending music schools, and graduated in double bass at the Conservatory of Vicenza, where he approached electronic music for the first time. At the same time, he began studying ethnic percussion with African, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian masters, participating in concerts, festivals and master classes with internationally renowned musicians.
In the following years he deepened his studies in Vienna and Milan, performing as a double bass player in important theatres and concert halls in Europe, America and Arab countries; his musical interest at 360 ° also leads him to collaborations in jazz, pop, theatre and recordings for various record labels.
Currently he combines electronic experimentation with teaching and concert activity.
Crucial is the meeting in Ibiza, in the summer of 2018, with the DJ and Producer Chris Coco, which led to the creation of the Bizzarro EP for the Disappear label, a fusion of the various musical influences assimilated over the years.
